Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information MocklySprint ("we", "us") collects when you use our AI mock interview platform, and how we use, store, and protect it. By creating an account or taking an interview on MocklySprint, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
When you register, we collect your username, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text); your full name is optional. If you choose to upload a resume or a job description while configuring an interview, we collect the contents of that file to personalize your questions. During an interview, we collect the text transcript of your spoken answers and the resulting scores and written evaluation.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to run your mock interviews — generating and adapting questions to your chosen role and skills, evaluating your answers, and producing your feedback report. We also use your email address to verify your account via a one-time passcode and to send you service-related communications.
4. Interview Transcripts & Recordings
We do not record or store your raw voice audio. Speech-to-text transcription happens locally in your browser; only the resulting text transcript is sent to and stored on our servers, where it's used to generate your evaluation and report. Audio you hear from the AI interviewer (synthesized text-to-speech) may be temporarily cached on our servers to speed up playback, but this contains no data about you.
5. Cookies & Tracking
MocklySprint does not use cookies or third-party advertising trackers. You stay signed in via a security token stored in your browser's local storage, which is sent with each request to identify your account.
6. Third-Party Services
We use OpenAI to generate interview questions and evaluate your answers, and Resend to deliver verification and account emails. We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, or session-recording tools. Data shared with these providers is limited to what is necessary for them to perform this function on our behalf.
7. Data Retention
We currently retain account information, interview transcripts, and reports for as long as your account exists, so you can revisit past interviews. We're an early-stage product and don't yet offer automatic data expiry — if you'd like older data removed sooner, contact us and we'll handle it manually.
8. Your Rights & Choices
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. As a small, early-stage team, we currently handle these requests manually rather than through a self-service tool, but we aim to respond promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as MocklySprint evolves — particularly as we finalize our data practices ahead of public launch. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and encourage you to check back periodically.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, reach out to us via our Contact page and we'll get back to you.
